This prisoner abuse scandal is forshawdowing what we can expect in this country if Bush and his fellow facists stay in power. If he wins re-election in a coup, we must, must protest before he gets his foot in the door. Otherwise we can expect prisons such as those in Iraq to pop up in our own communities.

Here is a link to the article about the international red cross report on American abuse of prisoners in Iraq.

The international committee of the Red Cross has said that it warned U.S. Commanders more than two months ago about prisoner abuses in Iraq. The report says that as many as 90 percent of arrests made in Iraq thus far in the conflict have been unjust, and accidental. Yet the Bush administration has done nothing. When British authorities were told of the incidents, British authorities responded immediately, dealing with the problems and banning various things such as hoods and other procedures that the report said violate the Geneva convention. The U.S. did nothing. This isn't just the fault of a few soldiers, it is the fault of an administration that has absolutely no regard for humans besides white male aristocratic Americans such as themselves. Rumsfeld should step down, he should be hooded and left In a darkened prison cell to rot like his various detainees have. Bush has repeatedly touted his position as commander in chief, claiming responsibility for "successes" in Iraq. I guess if Bush is responsible for good news from the war torn country, he is also responsible for the bad. Mr. Bush is a war criminal. He should be tried in Geneva as previous leaders of countries that violated the Geneva convention has. We shouldn't sink down to the level of Saddam Hussein and George Bush. Both should receive full legal representation in the trial preceding their sentencing. It would be Ironic if they were tried in the same court at the same time.
