I think that Bush himself is now a metaphor for the war that these protests are more against Bush and the principle of losing life. If Bush hadn't put us into this quagmire in the first place, we could have been spared all this wasteful confusion.

Can someone explain to me what the point of pulling out of Iraq now, beofre the country stabilizes would be? I mean theres all these protests going on but it's all bull shit. If we pull out of Iraq now, we will have accomplished nothing, as another dictator will have seized power. Let's at least try and get something out of it for the Iraqi people. And hey- why not take some free oil on the side.
