Well I am here in the hornet's nest of fascist activity- that is central Louisiana. Much to my dismay I recently learned that a local group of ultra conservative Baptist zealots have seized control of the local government as well as the local colleges school board. They have begun the process on banning various "inappropriate" books. Apparently they are "profane". What is this bullshit. This country, for the past 200+ years has thrived on the idea of freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. I am afraid we approach an unavoidable new dark age. Fasten your seatbelts, and find a new blog because I fear this will be shut down in the near future. Pardon spelling errors- crappy windows 95 to blame
